While seeds can grow into beautiful plants, they also symbolize potential and new beginnings. This is the emphasis we have strived to capture in our cards – a gift that is more about social culture than it is about horticulture. In other words, our cards would be appealing to romantics and not just to gardeners!
The type of seed that matters
Having said that, selecting the right seeds was a crucial step as is important they have the best possible chance of growing. We had several key reasons for this choice, all of which aligned with our overall objectives.
First, we needed a flower variety that could thrive in many different environments. Wildflowers fit this requirement perfectly because they are versatile and adaptable, making them suitable for a wide range of planting conditions.
Second, it was essential to choose seeds that would be relatively easy to grow. If the flowers were to be the message, then they should be easy to develop and endure. Wildflowers are known for their resilience and ease of growth, which makes them an ideal choice for both novice and experienced gardeners.
Third, wildflowers are naturally beneficial to the environment. They attract pollinators like bees and butterflies, which are essential for maintaining healthy ecosystems. This ecological benefit perfectly matched our goal of creating products that not only bring joy but also positively impact the environment.
You get what you pay for
Initially, I ordered a supply of wildflower seeds and was excited to receive them. However, I was disappointed to find that these seeds came mixed with planting material, which made it difficult to ensure consistent performance. This inconsistency was not acceptable for our product, as we wanted to guarantee the best possible results for our customers.
Determined to find a better solution, I decided to invest in a more expensive, curated mix of wildflower seeds. These seeds were carefully selected for their quality and potential to produce beautiful blooms. When the new seeds arrived, I planted a few to test their performance. The flowers that grew were magnificent, as shown in the pictures at the beginning of this post. Their vibrant colours and healthy growth confirmed that this was the right choice for our product.

People appreciate the thoughtful inclusion of wildflower seeds with our cards, and many have shared their delight in seeing the flowers grow. Imagine our delight when one of our first customers share a photo of their newly germinated seeds – a real sense of achievement.
Of course, we couldn’t entirely rely on nature’s course and so we designed and produced a growing guide that tucks neatly inside the card. Additionally, each packet comes with a wooden seed label - this small addition helps customers remember what they have planted and not only adds a charming touch to their garden but also provides another space to include a personal message.
Creating the right message
Incorporating wildflower seeds into our cards has turned out to be a wonderful decision. It enhances the appeal of our cards and provides a meaningful gift that continues to grow long after the card is received. We are proud of this unique feature and excited to continue sharing the joy of wildflowers with our customers.
However, the most important reason for including wildflower seeds isn't just about growing flowers. It's about the symbolic value they provide. Wildflowers represent hope, new beginnings, and resilience. Just as a small seed can grow into a beautiful flower, small acts of kindness can have a significant impact on someone's life. This symbolism is at the heart of our decision to include wildflower seeds in our cards.
Starting this blog allows us to share the development process behind our products and connect with our customers on a deeper level. We aim to provide insights into our creative journey and offer a behind-the-scenes look at how we bring our ideas to life. Thank you for joining us on this journey, and we hope our cards bring you as much happiness and inspiration as they have brought us. Happy planting!
